Eligibility for Admission to Post Graduate Courses

  1. Candidates who have appeared/are due to appear in UG 6™ Semester 2026 (under NEP) provided that they have cleared all semester examination upto 5" Semester / Passed in the 3 years UG under CBCS / Part-lil (I+l+]) examinations and have got clear results or its equivalent from UGC recognised Universities may apply.
  2. Candidates passing Honours/Major course in Arts in Under Graduate Degree level from Indira Gandhi National Open University/Netaji Subhas Open University and the Distance Education Programmes of other Universities in West Bengal are also eligible for admission.
  3. Each candidate should apply in a separate single application form for applying more than one subject, if any.
  4. Application Form to be submitted online.

Information

  1. The following seats are reserved in each subject for the under mentioned categories as indicated in
  2. For SC/ST :- 22% and 6% respectively of the total seats of the concerned subject. NB. – SC/ST candidates should submit SC/ST certificate issued as per the West Bengal SC/ST (identification) Act 1994. NB. – SC/ST candidates should submit SC/ST certificate issued as per the West Bengal SC/ST (identification) Act 1994.
  3. For Persons with Disability :- reservation of 5% seats for PWD within each respective category (SC/ST, OBC) & unreserved of the concerned subject N.B.- Persons with disability candidates having degree of 40% and above should submit a certificate issued by the relevant Govt. Hospital.
